I dreamt of this kind of place two days ago, and the idea sticked with me. It doesn't look exactly the same but the elements are there. Bright sunlight and bright water between four concrete mossy walls.
About four hours Photoshop. I saved steps, might upload them later if that seems interesting...
This is so utterly beautiful. It throws me back into old memories and childhood dreams. I really adore how beautifully you can work with perspective and light. Are you self taught or did you study art? That is something that always interested me. You can create such fascinating backgrounds and atmosphere. I also love the mix between soft and hard brush strokes.
I would be very interested to see steps of this amazing painting. Your artwork inspires me to try out new things.

I used textures I went out to shoot in a factory yesterday, and I use textures from my great friend at cgtextures.com. Plants and details are created with brushes.
That's really beautiful. It reminds me of certain times of my childhood. The courtyard that sat in the middle of my building that I was able to see into from my window. Wow. I really love it. It feels brilliant and warm. I'd love to visit this place.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
